Capitalism Creates Inequality
Posted in
Equality
Inequality is an aspect, a side-effect of capitalism. Three hundred years ago, except for a few kings and lords, everyone was dirt poor – virtually everyone was equal. Today even minimum wage earners are far better off than the kings and lords of that era – thanks to capitalism. Modern day Venezuela abandoned capitalism and three million people fled the county with little more than the shirts on their backs – they are all equal. As a child my wife was taught at school that all people under communism were equal to which her father replied, yes, they are all equally poor.
Without capitalism you get equality; with capitalism you get inequality – like it or not.
