WAR WITH IRAN
IRAN WILL WIN THE WAR – AND WHY
The Islamic Republic of Iran is evil incarnate!
It is the number one state sponsor of terrorism in the world. It sponsors designated terrorists such as Hezbollah in Lebanon, Houthis in Yemen, Hamas in Gaza and Islamic Jihad. The 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran established the Islamic Republic under Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp was officially established by Khomeini in May, 1979, and reports to the Supreme Leader of Iran. The IRGC's constitutional mandate is to ensure the integrity of the Islamic Republic. Its mandate includes crushing "deviant movements" that harm the ideological legacy of the Islamic Revolution. Their record of arrest and murder of “deviant movements” is well documented.
The key word is ideological. The Ayatollahs are ideological zealots for Islam; they are motivated by religion. They believe Allah has ordained Islam and Sharia law are to ultimately rule the world. That is their cause; that is there fight – and they will not surrender, they will fight to the death, believing they will go to heaven. To defeat such religious fanatics now, will be difficult; it should have been done in 1979.
Embassy premises are inviolable under international law. The host country’s police, military, and other authorities cannot enter embassy grounds without permission. The host government is also obligated to protect embassy buildings from intrusion, damage, and disturbances.
On November 4, 1979, Iranian students, with Ayatollah Khomeini’s blessing, seized the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, and held 52 Americans hostage for 444 days. The United States Congress should have declared war on Iran with the goal of unconditional surrender. That they didn’t, embolden the Ayatollahs, and as Ayn Rand predicted, Iran and their Islamist proxies have been at war against The West ever since.
That the Ayatollahs will not surrender is not the reason Iran will win – It’s that The West will surrender – to negotiate is to surrender. The U.S. and Israel should tell Iran there will be no negotiations. They should continue degrading Iran’s armed forces and the IRGC, and if they really want to win they should make it impossible for Iran to supply the one commodity that virtually every nation needs – electricity. This can be done, not by destroying Iran’s capacity to generate electricity, but by taking out their high voltage transmission lines, and anyone who tries to rebuild them. This has the advantage of making any means of electrical generation pointless, and they are far easier to rebuild after the Ayatollahs are overthrown – and the Ayatollahs must be overthrown.
The Iranians should be told that they must overthrow the Ayatollahs and establish a government that separates church and state – or do without electricity. As witness the anti-government demonstrations where tens of thousands risk their lives, there is a sizable percentage of the Iranian population that’s fighting for freedom from the Ayatollahs. In my opinion, these freedom fighters would welcome an electrical blackout. They would see it as The West being on their side, and would be emboldened by it.
On October 7, 2023, Hamas invaded Israel killing over 1,200 people and taking more than 250 hostages. This was Israel’s Pearl Harbor.
Where on earth does it make any sense that one should supply food, water and electricity to the enemy? But that’s what Israel has been doing for the last two and a half years, and Hamas is still there. I submit that if Israel had cut off these commodities on Oct 8, 2023, Hamas would have been overthrown by Gazans in a matter of weeks, and with fewer casualties on both sides.
In my opinion the U.S. and Israel in this war against Iran will not fight to win – they will not cut off Iran’s electrical supply. They will have set back for a few years Iran’s threat to The West, but the Ayatollah’s will remain, and they will go on murdering their own people, and sponsoring terrorist groups throughout the Middle East in their relentless march towards Islamic world domination.
Why does The West not fight a war to win – by every means possible? There may be many reasons, but a major one in my opinion is the lack of moral rectitude. The West does not take sufficient pride in what a moral achievement it is. It’s The West where reason triumphed over superstition. It’s The West where science discovered the nature of reality and what it could be made to do. It’s The West that had an Enlightenment, and man became, well, enlightened. It’s The West that established the right to life and property enabling us to pursue our values including love instead of an arranged marriage. It’s The West where all men are equal under the law. It’s The West that established free markets that created undreamed of wealth. And on and on. It’s The West that is the good; we had better fight for it.
