THE TRUMP EFFECT

      In my opinion Donald Trump is a disgusting human being. He believes he can violate women, grab them by the crotch. He ridicules people with a physical disability. He is a pathological liar, a thug and a racist. He is emotionally stunted – like a spoiled four year old, he lashes out at anyone who disagrees with him. He’s a narcissist. Reality, facts mean nothing to him – Obama was not born in the U.S., his inaugural crowds were much larger than the facts, he won a majority of the votes in his election to president. He ignores any fact he finds distasteful and invents “alternate” facts.

      It’s said that Donald Trump is a product of the American capitalist system (He’s not). First of all, the United States is hardly capitalist any more – it ranks seventeenth on the world economic freedom index. Nevertheless Trump is seen, by many people, as a product of capitalism. In my opinion, there will be a backlash against Trump, and hence capitalism, in America and around the world – a backlash that will set back the case for capitalism by a decade or more. I hope I’m wrong.
