Americans elected Trump twice. Whatever their reason for voting for him, character was not one of them – Trump has no character. Facts mean nothing to him, reason means nothing (he rationalizes) and morality doesn’t exist. He has no understanding of right and wrong. He’s a narcissistic megalomaniac – What did you think would happen?
Most Canadians believe in good character, believe in right and wrong. The problem is what he believes to be right. Ask a Canadian what he thinks of his country, and many will say we’re not American. What in hell does that mean? - We’re not as ambitious. We’re not as hard working. We’re not as entrepreneurial. What we are is more altruistic. We believe we are our brother’s keeper, and we vote for and get cradle to grave entitlements. It’s altruistic entitlements that kill ambition, kill the courage and determination to go after higher goals. With more and more entitlements, what did you think would happen?
The West has lost its courage and commitment to fight for its values – freedom, the right to life and property, and the rule of law.
